Conceived as a schools/community initiative in Gibraltar where pupils were invited to rethink a parking space as a small public “mini-park.” The project focused on three local issues: traffic and pollution, waste/reuse, and Gibraltar’s shortage of space. Students developed ideas for converting a parking bay into something useful for the community—for example seating and shade, greenery, a herb garden, or elements made from reused/upcycled materials.

The proposed process was quite participatory: an introductory session, development of a design brief by each school, review and refinement with the Park2Park team, construction/planting, and then placing the mini-parks in the community as a temporary “living exhibition.”
